Going to the cinema is a popular past time amongst everyone in the country and there are certainly no shortages of cinemas in Kent. The cinemas in the region vary in size from the large multiplexes with several screens to single screen local picture houses. Kent is far to large an area to be covered by three or four multiplex cinemas as is the case in a lot of other areas of Britain and as a result almost every small town in the county has its own cinema. Obviously these tend to be very small affairs but they offer yet another dimension to a rural holiday in Kent and an extra option if your plans are ruined by adverse weather. They also contribute to the nightlife of the towns they are in and give you a way to entertain the kids after a long day's touring. Due to their size however film choice and showing times will be very limited so it's always wise to check before you go. As you get into the bigger population centres though you start to get multi screen cinemas showing a variety of films at a variety of times, enough to keep the whole family occupied.
